MANUEL MAFFI
Born in Italy on October 31, 1982.
He began his martial career in 2000 with the Lenhua Cientao International School, where he practiced the modern Kung Fu style of Master Ng Wee Lian, while learning the Stretching program, the basics of Tai Chi Yang style and the first knowledge of Qi Gong that will deepen later.
Here he achieves the first important results, already in the years 2001 and 2002 he comes first in single Kata races, in the year 2003 he gets his first diploma, in the same year and in the following year he comes second with other schools always in single Kata, while in team Kata, in the capacity of group leader, gets 2 cups always in the same years.
He continued until 2006 and then enrolled in Jitakioey Budo & Wu Shu becoming a direct pupil of Master Sergio Morstabilini, he began to practice Taijiquan style Yang and Chen, Bhaguazhang, Yi Quan and Xingyiquan learning even in the years with bare hands 13, 16, 24, 40, 42, 48 of the Yang style, the 36 form of the Chen style, the Pao Chui 83 form of the Chen style, the 32 and 42 forms of the Yang sword, the palms of Bhaguazhang, the shape of the five elements and the shape of the 12 animals of Xingyiquan and remains there until 2010.
In the same years he also offered a volunteer service to the Phb Association of Bergamo, where he helped disabled children with mobility problems.
At the beginning of 2011 he enrolled at the Wing Chun Sistem school in Bergamo, where under the guidance of Sifu Adriano Finotto and Stefano Longhi he began and completed the fundamental part of Yip Man’s traditional Wing Chun program.
He stayed there until August of the same year and in September, wanting to deepen the "inside and deep" he enrolled in the famous school of Shiatsu La Fonte, under the guidance of Master Maurizio Curtaz; here he studied the Shiatsu of Masunaga, the various relaxation techniques, Ethics, Traditional Chinese Medicine and other insights related to Qi Gong and Tai Chi, earning the Shiatsu Operator Diploma in the year 2014 to August.
In September of the same year, this time driven by the desire to increase the "external and martial" side, he enrolled in the school Kendo & Iaido Bergamo, the main school in Italy of the sector, here, under the guidance of Master Gian Franco Moretti learns the basics of Kendo and the first Kata, there remains for several years but at the same time studies various types of holistic massage including the classic Swedish, sports and relaxing, alongside them also some more therapeutic styles such as lymphatic drainage, palpatory anatomy and stage of deepening of Shiatsu Namikoshi.
In May 2017 he founded the personal study Holistic Hanami of Manuel Maffi that collaborates with the Iwa International Wang Academy but also with other associations in the field that teach Taijiquan "Water Style", Tuina, Qi Gong and meditation under the guidance of the Grand Master and Dr. Wang Zhi Xiang, who can be seen together in the photo next to a newspaper, also working closely in sports centers where the world's best athletes train.
Today it is always in continuous updating attending professional training courses in both the holistic and martial around the world.
